Giuseppe Gerace (Milan, Italy)
From a very young age, his path has been connected to bodywork and movement, having dedicated his entire life to the constant practice of various techniques in Martial Arts, Dance, and Yoga.
His journey as a therapist began in Milan in 2001, where he fully committed himself to the study of Ayurveda. He began his studies in Milan and soon decided to travel to India, where he graduated from the "Swanga Ayurvedic Centre" in Varkala. License No. 6149.

He deepened his knowledge by studying various massage techniques and continued his studies at the Heilpraktiker Institut, earning degrees in:

  • Structural Osteopathy (Lic. No. 25118/10)

  • Visceral Osteopathy (Lic. No. H-25226/11)

  • Craniosacral Osteopathy (Lic. No. F-25746/12) between 2007 and 2011.

He completed further training in Osteopathy at EMPO (School of Motility and Organic Psycho-Osteopathy).

Drawn to more holistic and integrative approaches, he also trained in Naturopathy and Natural Nutrition.

His desire to highlight the therapeutic use of water led him into the world of Aquatic Massage, through which he was able to integrate everything he had learned and incorporate it into water-based sessions, developing what he calls Aquatic Osteopathy.

His therapies are deeply influenced by a vision of body-mind unity.

He is the founder and director of the Akasha Holistic Center where classes, workshops, and courses are offered, and where he practices professionally as an osteopath in his clinic.

WHAT IS OSTEOPATHY

Osteopathy is a holistic manual medicine.

It is the art of diagnosing and treating dysfunctions of the human body through manipulations aimed at improving the overall functioning of all bodily systems.

Considered by many as a key to the medicine of the future, it is an effective alternative, complementary, and preventive solution for a wide range of health issues.

Osteopathy is a body of specific knowledge based on human anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics. It involves understanding how different tissues contribute to disease and applying techniques to restore the function of those tissues. It fully complements allopathic medicine in its shared goal of helping the patient restore mechanical and physiological balance, and it operates within a framework of prevention, health preservation, and overall well-being.

Osteopathy does not aim to change the person, but to help them rediscover themselves by opening their own pathways to healing. Through skilled touch, the practitioner supports the person’s natural regenerative ability. By respecting the body's biorhythms, it returns to its optimal state—using less energy, functioning more efficiently.

A sick body is one that is fighting for recovery. Osteopathy helps make that recovery more direct and simple—without removing (as in surgery) or adding (as in pharmaceuticals) anything to the body.

The treatment uses gentle, safe techniques tailored to each patient’s age, gender, constitution, and health condition.

Every osteopathic session is personalized and evolves in response to the individual’s progress.

WHEN TO SEE AN OSTEOPATH?

Here are some examples of situations where osteopathic treatment can be highly effective:

  • During pregnancy and after childbirth.

  • After birth and during childhood, especially during major life changes or when a child shows unusual difficulty adapting through their behavior.

  • After any major trauma, even without visible injuries (e.g., significant falls, car accidents—even without serious consequences).

  • After any surgical or intense medical intervention, including difficult dental treatments, extractions, etc.

  • Before, during, and after orthodontic treatment, especially when wearing or removing dental appliances.

  • During or after particularly stressful periods, physical or mental exhaustion, or emotionally challenging times—when you feel “drained.”

  • After acute illnesses that required medication. Such treatments can create imbalances in the musculoskeletal, liver, and digestive systems. For instance, antibiotics—though often necessary—can disrupt the digestive system and liver.

  • Whenever a person feels the need or desire to be treated. The body, especially if it has experienced osteopathic care before, becomes more responsive and sensitive to rebalancing through treatment.

Although osteopathy is best known for treating back pain (lower back, neck, and upper back issues), it is also very effective for a wide range of other symptoms:

Musculoskeletal Disorders: muscle tension, contractures, tendinitis, etc.
Respiratory Issues: recurring colds, sinusitis, dry cough, etc.
Digestive Disorders: irritable bowel, constipation, acidity, abdominal spasms, gastritis, etc.
Genitourinary Issues: incontinence, menstrual pain, cystitis, painful intercourse, etc.
Pregnancy Support: back pain, sciatica, pelvic pain, etc.
Pediatric Disorders: colic, vomiting, orthodontic aftereffects, sleep disturbances, hyperactivity, learning difficulties, dyslexia, growth imbalances, etc.
Injury Prevention: prevention of dysfunctions that could lead to future discomfort or illness; improvement of overall vitality.
Other Issues: stress, tension headaches, general fatigue.
